RANGELY | Last weekend six Rangely middle school wrestlers and one youth wrestler competed in the regional tournament last Saturday in Montrose. The panther middle school team qualified four wrestlers to the state tournament in Denver starting on Friday. The qualifiers were Kobey Chism, Kasen LeBleu, Reid Zadra, Jaxon Torsell, Sage Rhea.
“Sixth graders Landon Carlson and Izaiah Moody wrestled very hard and we are proud of their effort they have put forth this season. I think we wrestled a little scared in some matches, but I think it was a good showing for this team,” said head coach Jeff LeBleu. The Panthers’ youth wrestler was Reid Zadra. Zadra qualified with a second place finish. “We want to wish all the Panther wrestlers good luck at state. Bleed green,” LeBleu said.
