MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboy wrestling team will host Grand Valley tonight in the first home meet of the season.
The Cowboys will host the defending state champion Paonia Eagles Jan. 17 and Wendll’s Wondrous Wiener Wagon and Watt’s Ranch Market will host “Plates for Non-Profits,” with proceeds benefiting the Meeker Community Wrestling Club, with support from the Meeker Chamber of Commerce.
Once a month, a local restaurant will host “Plates for Non-Profits.” A portion of the restaurant’s sales that day will go to a local non-profit organization.
On Jan. 17, enjoy coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Cuppa Joe, then hot dogs, chili dogs and hamburgers from 11-1:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Watts Ranch Market. All lunch sales will be donated to the Meeker Community Wrestling Club.
