RANGELY | Time is running out to enjoy a round of golf at Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely. March-November are the normal months that the course is open, but according to manager Christopher Hejl, it can vary depending on the weather. Cedar Ridges is a public nine-hole par 36 course that was constructed in 1984-1985. The golf course was designed by Frank Hummel, who designed and constructed more than 200 courses in the United States. The course is well established with mature turf and trees. With five tee boxes on each hole, and depending on pin placement, the course is challenging enough for any experienced golfer while enjoyable for the novice as well. The golf course offers a full-service clubhouse, practice green, driving range, full retail shop, and a bar and grill. The current construction of a large pavilion near the clubhouse will allow wedding parties, family reunions, and other groups covered space to sit and serve food. The course is beyond affordable at only $12 for an adult to play 9 holes and $10 for a junior or senior. If you have never been to Cedar Ridges, time is of the essence in 2019. A quick trip to this “diamond in the rough” won’t disappoint. For more information about Cedar Ridges Golf Course contact Christopher Hejl at 970-675-8403.
