With bulldozers in the background, Rangely District Hospital board members Jack Rich (president), Rob Mackey, Marty Estes (secretary/treasurer), Buford Adams and CEO Nick Goshe, broke ground on the site of the new hospital (Steve Petersburg, vice president of the RDH board was not pictured). More than 100 people gathered for the ground breaking ceremony, which was followed by a barbecue across the street, in front of the Eagle Crest facility.
Bud and June Striegel were honored by RDH, pictured here with Jack Rich and the half-sized bronze elk which will be placed in a prominent place in the new hospital in recognition of the contributions the Striegels have made to the hospital district.
