RBC I Following a five-day trial lasting well into the evening last Friday, a 12-person jury comprised of Meeker and Rangely residents returned a guilty verdict for 30-year-old Kenneth Henson of Rangely on multiple felony sexual assault charges stemming back to a 2018 arrest.
Because a juvenile was involved, details are not available to the public.
Following the jury’s decision, Henson was remanded to custody in the Rio Blanco County Detention Center, where he awaits sentencing in April.
Retired Colorado Judge W. Terry Ruckriegle, perhaps best known for presiding over the 2004 rape case against basketball player Kobe Bryant, was the judge in the Henson case. Ruckriegle was filling in for 9th Judicial District Judge Anne Norrdin, who is on maternity leave.
