Flags across Colorado have been flown at half staff during the past week — as ordered by Gov. John Hickenlooper — to mourn the death of Tom Clements, his appointed executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections. This flag, located at the corner of Sixth and Market streets in Meeker, is one of many to mark the murder of Clements, who was fatally shot at his home the night of March 18 in Monument, Colo., located along Interstate 25 between Denver and Colorado Springs.
