Over the last four months, potter Elizabeth Robinson Wiley and studio mate Julia Davis have crafted more than 200 bowls for this month’s Harvest Bowls Festival. The fund raiser aims to benefit organizations that nourish the Rangely community such as New Eden Pregnancy Care Services, Rangely MOMs, Giant Step Preschool and Childcare, The Rangely Community Gardens and Help One Now, an international hunger relief organization. Tickets went on sale last week, and about half of the tickets have sold.
They can be purchased at Elizabeth Robinson Studio, Giant Step, New Eden and online at www.elizabethrobinsonstudio.com. Limited quantities are available. The event, a community dinner and celebration serving food harvested locally, where each ticket holder will eat from and take home a unique bowl, is supported by 23 business and individual sponsors.
