MEEKER I If you are interested in a career in healthcare, Pioneers Healthcare Foundation has several types of scholarships available to Meeker-area graduating high school seniors, continuing college students and post graduate (masters and doctorate) students pursuing their degrees in the healthcare fields.
For instance, the Kris Borchard Strive for Excellence Scholarship application is now available. This scholarship will be awarded to a Meeker resident who has successfully completed his or her associate’s or bachelor’s degree and who is now pursuing a post-graduate degree in a healthcare-related field (physician, advanced degree in nursing, anesthesiology, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, psychologist, pharmacist, etc.).
Recipients will receive up to $4,000 as a $1,000 annual renewable scholarship to be paid out for up to four years. Recipients must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average, or a student in good standing to be eligible for renewal.
