The eighth grade band will feature the classic musical theme from “The Magnificent Seven” 1960s western movie as well as variations from the “Poor Wayfaring Stranger.”
The Meeker High School band’s premier piece will feature selections from “The Nightmare before Christmas.”
The award-winning Meeker High School choir will present “Ubi Caritas,” a classic Gregorian Chant (Latin translation: ‘where charity and love are, God is there’). The text of the lyrics was inscribed on the walls of historic middle ages cellars in Cologne, Germany, where Jewish people were hidden from the Nazi persecutions of World War II. The classic “Carol of the Bells” will be sung in four-part harmony.
