RANGELY | This weeks “home of” honorees are Colby and Jennifer Goddard of Rangely. Colby is a Rangely native. His parents are Phyllis and the late Gordon Goddard. Jennifer moved to Rangely 35 years ago. Her parents are Henry and Betty Hames. Both Colby and Jennifer attended Rangely schools. They were high school sweethearts and will celebrate their 22nd anniversary Oct. 19.
Colby studied auto mechanics at WyoTech. He works for the family business Goddard Construction. Jennifer is a stay-at-home mother and wife. She has an associate degree in business from CNCC and has worked as a substitute teacher.
The Goddards have two children: son Justin, 19, and daughter Cassie, 15. Justin is a 2012 RHS graduate. He works for Goddard Construction. Cassie is a ninth grader at Rangely Jr./Sr. High School.
Colby has three brothers: Greg Goddard and wife Madonna Wilczek of Rangely; Toby Goddard of New Castle; and Gordy Goddard also of Rangely.
Jennifer has one sister: Cristina Miller and husband Ed of Rangely.
“We enjoy camping, hunting and watching movies as a family. Cassie plays basketball and volleyball. We enjoy following her sports activities. We occasionally travel to Grand Junction and Vernal, but since our parents and siblings live in the area we do things here. I like the small town community of Rangely. Everybody knows everybody. It’s a great place to raise the kids. It’s nice to live where people are nice,” Jennifer said.
