HOME OF: Dustin Allen

MEEKER | Meeker native Dustin Allen is this week’s “home of” honoree. Dustin’s parents are Steve Allen of Meeker and Carla Allen of Longmont.
Dustin is a 2004 Meeker High School graduate. He continued his education at the University of Wyoming in Laramie earning a degree in rangeland ecology and watershed management in December 2008.
Dustin is an apprentice lineman for White River Electric Association.
Dustin’s sister Ryley also attended Meeker schools and recently was graduated from Colorado State University — Pueblo. Ryley currently lives in Longmont.
Dustin has four hound dogs and a border collie. He loves to hunt and enjoys all types of shooting sports. Dustin snowmobiles, lion hunts and also guides for Nine Mile Guest Ranch.
In the fall of 2011, Dustin and his father went to British Columbia, Canada, on a once-in-a-lifetime hunting trip for Canadian moose.
Dustin likes Meeker’s small town environment. He enjoys living close to family, the mountains and hunting opportunities.
