MEEKER | Meeker natives Howard and Peggy Kilduff are this week’s “home of” honorees. Howard and Peggy were married 25 years ago on May 23.
Howard is a plant maintenance person for Natural Soda at its Piceance Creek plant. Peggy is the bookkeeper for Meeker Auto Parts.
Howard and Peggy have two sons. Jak Kilduff, 25, and his wife Amy live in Meeker. Jak is a plant operator at Natural Soda. Amy works for McGuire Auto Parts. Howard and Peggy’s youngest son Clinton “Weeg” Kilduff turned 21 yesterday. Weeg is a junior at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley majoring in criminal justice.
“We’re anxiously waiting for grandchildren, but have to settle for grandkittens and a granddog for now,” Peggy said.
Howard’s mother Carol Russell, his uncle Tom Kilduff, sister Jody Squire and Peggy’s mother Sharon Clapper and sisters Dondi Glasscock and Mindy Burke also reside in Meeker. Howard’s sister Jamie Owen lives in Eckert.
Howard and Peggy like to go four-wheeling and enjoy camping. Peggy also plays co-ed softball and volleyball.
“At some point I would like to go to Sandusky, Ohio, to the Cedar Point Amusement Park. It’s the top roller coaster and water park in the United States. If I had the opportunity, I would go in a heartbeat. Howard would like to someday go to Australia,” Peggy mentioned.
“I like that Meeker is a small town where you know most of the people. It’s safe and a great place to raise kids,” Peggy added.
