RANGELY | Longtime Rangely residents Ronnie and Shari Plummer are this week’s “home of” honorees. Ronnie has lived here since 1976. Shari is a Rangely native. Her parents are former Rangely residents Jerry Crook and Sharon Crook. The Plummers were married 30 years on Aug. 14.
Ronnie is an automation tech for EnCana. Shari was recently hired as the administrative assistant to the Rangely School District superintendent. Before that she was the administrative assistant for Alliance Energy.
The Plummers have two grown children. Their daughter Angie is married to Clint Hill of Rangely. Angie and Clint have a 1-year-old daughter, Makenzie. Angie is a stay-at-home mom. Clint works for EnCana. Ronnie and Shari’s son Jason Plummer and his wife Brittney also live in Rangely. They have 1-year-old twin daughters, Gentrie and Kinlie. Jason works for EnCana and Brittney is a dental hygienist in Roosevelt, Utah.
“We like playing with our granddaughters as much as possible. They were born within 18 days of each other. Makenzie was born Oct. 5 and then the twins came along 18 days later. They are a lot of fun. We enjoy the outdoors. We like to go camping, fishing, hunting and occasionally ride our ATVs,” said Shari.
“We like the closeness of the people and town, how you can be friends with everybody in Rangely. I like the small town. You can always count on people. I like being able to walk outdoors and enjoy the openness. I like not having traffic and enjoy the quiet and safety. Rangely is a great place to raise our family,” Shari added.
