RANGELY | Long-time Rangely residents Curt and Susie Dembowski are this week’s “home of” honorees. Both moved to Rangely as children in 1962. Curt’s family hailed from Omaha, Neb. Susie’s family came from Vernal, Utah. Curt’s father Bud Dembowski currently resides in Vernal. His mother Myrle Dembowski is deceased. Susie’s parents are the late Shirl and Jean Kump. The Dembowskis were married 38 years on Aug. 2.
Curt and Susie are self-employed. They own and operate C & J Field Services, an oil field service with roustabout crews, heavy equipment operators and pumpers.
The Dembowskis have two children. Both live in Rangely. Their daughter Kendra Allen and husband Dean have one son Dalton. Curt and Susie’s son Scott and wife Missy have a daughter Kastyn. Scott and Missy’s 18-month-old son Traker passed away in January.
“Curt’s biggest hobby is fishing. He likes to hunt also. I dream of quilting, but never have time. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends, especially family. We have a mountain home at Flaming Gorge and like to spend time out there whether it’s just the two of us or all our family. Rangely is a wonderful place to raise our children and grandchildren. I’m glad were here,” said Susie.
