Home of: Dan and Ronda Gordon

RANGELY | Dan and Ronda Gordon of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees. They have been Rangely residents since 1999. The Gordons will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary May 8.
Dan is a retired master plumber from Union Local 3 in Denver. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in the Arctic Circle. He became a journeyman plumber in the mid-1950s.
Ronda works as needed at Sweetbriar. Over the years she has worked for two weekly newspapers, two city police departments, been a bookkeeper, bartender and managed three self-storage companies.
The Gordons have a combined family. Dan has four daughters: Donna Espinosa and her husband Bobo of Littleton; Linda Gordon of Rangely; Patty Gordon of Englewood; and the late Diane Dawson.
Ronda has four boys and one girl: Greg Zielinski and his wife Martha of Lubbock, Tex.; Tony Zielinski of La Mesa, Calif.; John Zielinski and his wife Sara of Jamul, Calif.; Chris Zielinski and his wife Alane of San Antonio, Tex.; and Alicia Trego and husband Rob of Arvada. The Gordons also have 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
“We enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling, but no longer go due to health reasons. I am a voracious reader. I probably read five books a week. I also like to sew and go antiquing when I get a chance. We live on Ridge Road. We have the most wonderful neighbors in the world. I was raised on a farm, so I just enjoy a small town. I love the small town atmosphere and the friendly people. I love working at Sweetbriar as I get to see people,” Ronda said.
