MEEKER | Jody and Ramona Atchley of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. The Atchleys have lived here 16 years. They celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary Dec. 26.
Jody owns “5 Star Water,” a water business. He hauls potable drinking water. Ramona purchased Aspen Leaf Drug Testing from Suzanne Gerloff. Ramona is a certified drug sample collector.
The Atchleys have three daughters. Their eldest daughter, Krysten Atchley is 18. Krysten is a 2011 Meeker High School graduate. She works and lives in Cedaredge. She is a CNA at Willow Tree Care Center and lives with her aunt Tammy Worley, Jody’s sister. Jody and Ramona’s middle daughter is Katelyn Atchley, 14. Katelyn is a freshman at Meeker High School. She plays flute and saxophone in the MHS band and participates in 4-H leathercraft. The Atchley’s youngest daughter, Kelsay Atchley, 8, is a third grader in Meeker Elementary School. This year her classroom is at the high school. Kelsay also does 4-H leathercraft. Both Katelyn and Kelsay take piano lessons.
“We like to camp, fish and 4-wheel. We enjoy the mountains and BLM land. We like being outdoors,” Ramona explained.
When asked what she likes most about living in Meeker, Ramona replied, “The small community where everybody knows everybody. We come from small towns. I was raised in Norwood and Jody is from Delta.”
