RANGELY | Longtime Rangely residents Jonathan and Barbara Daniels are this week’s “home of” honorees. Jonathan moved here in 1981. Barbara’s family came here in 1966.
Jonathan and Barbara met in 1983. “We’ll be married 27 years in August,” Barbara said.
Jonathan is a measurement technician for EnCana. Barbara is the customer service representative for Rangely Insurance Group.
The Daniels have a grown son, Christopher Daniels, who lives in Midland, Texas. Christopher is engaged to Sophia Sisneros. Baker-Hughes recently hired Christopher as a fabricator.
“We enjoy camping and fishing. We fish every weekend just about. We usually go to Starvation or Red Fleet Reservoirs in Utah. Jonathan is trying to catch ‘the big walleye’. We also like hiking and fossil hunting,” Barbara explained.
“We’ve been to Cancun, Mexico four times. We’ve usually gone in February to get out of the cold here,” Barbara added.
“I like the people in Rangely and the small town atmosphere. I’ve lived here more of my life than anywhere else. We just like it here. Rangely is our home,” Barbara ended.
