RANGELY | Matt and Jen Noel of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees. Matt is a 37-year native of Rangely. Jen moved here in 1991 with her parents John and Sandy Payne. John and Sandy own Giovanni’s Italian Grill. Matt’s parents are Gary and Cindy Noel, also of Rangely. Gary works for Encana and Cindy is a homemaker.
Matt is employed by W.C. Striegel. He has worked there full-time for the past seven years.
Jen is a homemaker. She homeschools their children. Jen is a member of the board of directors of the Western Rio Blanco County Metropolitan Recreation District. She also serves on the Rangely Hurricane swim team board.
The Noels have three children: son Caleb, 12, will be a seventh grader this fall; son Colton, 8, will be in the third grade; and daughter Chloe, 4, will be a preschooler. All three children play the piano. The boys participate in swimming, basketball and football and Chloe takes dance classes.
“We enjoy camping, 4-wheeling and fishing. My husband travels a lot with his job. I do things around Rangely. We spend a lot of time with family and friends, especially our parents since both sets live in town. We’re very fortunate,” Jen explained.
“I like the ‘homey’ feeling of Rangely. Everywhere you go you know somebody. You feel very safe here. Rangely is a good place to raise children,” Jen said.
