RANGELY | Shane and Paulene Brady of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees. Shane has lived here “off and on all his life.” Paulene moved here 25 years ago as a new bride.
Shane works for the county road and bridge department. Paulene is a bus driver for the Rangely school district and a custodian for Colorado Northwestern Community College.
The Bradys have four children: daughter Shaylene Dye and her husband Colton of Cedar City, Utah; sons Kalen and Kanden Brady also of Cedar City; and 12-year-old son Caulan Brady. The three older children live together and attend Southern Utah University in Cedar City. Shaylene has a bachelor of science degree in sports medicine and is the athletic trainer for the SUU girls’ volleyball team. The college is paying for her master’s degree in sports performance. Kalen and Kanden are also sports medicine majors. Caulan is a student at Rangely Junior/Senior High.
Shane “is a big hunter and loves the outdoors,” Paulene said. The Bradys enjoy “going to see movies” and spend most of their spare time “chasing kids around to athletic events.” Paulene also likes to read.
