Honors…

Three Meeker High School girls’s basketball players—Sydney Hughes, Reese Pertile, Megan Parker—and their coach, Greg Chintala, were recently honored by the Western Slope League and state coaches associations. Senior Sydney Hughes was named the Player of the Year for the Western Slope League and was also selected to play in two all-state games, the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports game played two weeks ago and the Colorado High School Coaches Association’s all-state game to be played in June. Coach Chintala was chosen to coach the team. Hughes led the team in scoring, assists, steals and was second in rebounding to Pertile, who, along with Parker, was honorably mentioned by the Western Slope League.
