Jason Steiner, owner of Stage Stop Meat Market and Deli on the corner of Market and School streets, said hunting season business has been good so far this year. “Our first season numbers are up and our archery/muzzleloading season numbers were way up,” Steiner, whose business also processes wild game, said. “The size of the horns are down, we’re not seeing as many big bulls as in archery season. I think the archery guys got all the big ones.” The second combined rifle season starts Saturday and runs for eight days.
