Hwy 13 chip sealing underway through July

RBC | The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor United Companies began a fog and chip seal project on Colorado Highway 13, from mile point (MP) 20-MP 37, between Rifle and Meeker. The project started Monday, June 11, and has an anticipated completion date the end of July 2018.

This $1.25 million project will include full width fog seal, chip seal on drive lanes, deep patching, rumble strip installation, and pavement marking. The chip and fog seal maintenance will help preserve the life of the asphalt and repair the asphalt that already exists.

TRAVEL & ACCESS IMPACTS:

Motorists can expect north and southbound one-lane alternating traffic with 20 minute delays and a speed limit reduction of 35 mph. The project will be in operation Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
