At the trustee meeting Tuesday night, Meeker School Board members accepted the resignations of two prominent high school staff members, including Meeker High School Principal Dr. Kim Ibach.
Board President Bill deVergie said Ibach submitted her letter of resignation, effective at the end of the school year, to Superintendent Mark Meyer late last week.
The other resignation was from 26-year high school chemistry and math teacher Bev Devore-Wedding.
Devore-Wedding is on a year’s leave-of-absence which, by board policy, could not be extended. She resigned in order to continue her pursuit of a doctorate in science education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Meyer was not available for comment as he himself is away at a job interview.
