Accommodating weather conditions have permitted the ice tower at the CNCC campus in Rangely to rise to its 50 foot height for Outdoor Recreation Program students to attempt to scale. CNCC supplies boots, crampons, ice tools, helmets and harnesses as well as instruction to students interested in trying ice climbing. Students can also sign up and get credit for the ice climbing class.
