RBC I For the past 14 years, the Independent Life Center, Inc., (ILC) in Craig, has empowered people in need to live independently and thereby realize their full potential through peer counseling, training, advocacy and drawing upon community resources. The ILC, a not-for-profit organization, has done this under the leadership of its founder and executive director Evelyn Tileston.
The community and consumers are invited to an open house to thank Tileston for her years of service and to welcome the new executive director Jackie Lyons. Jackie Lyons has an exciting vision for the Independent Life Center which includes a more visible presence in the five counties which it serves — Rio Blanco, Moffat, Routt, Grand and Summit counties — and to provide services to a greater consumer population.
The open house will be on Friday, Dec. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Independent Life Center offices at 483 Yampa Ave., (corner of Victory Way, second floor) in Craig. Light refreshments will be served.
