MEEKER | The “It’s a Way of Life” 4-H livestock club held its second business meeting. This club is a community club but mainly for livestock kids who show swine, sheep, goats, cattle, etc.
The meeting began with an icebreaker presented by Hayden Garcia. Everyone put their shoes in a pile, then found a partner. Each partner described the other partner’s shoes, and then found each other’s shoes.
After the icebreaker, the club had a discussion about parliamentary procedure and regular business, like treasurer and secretary reports given by previous president Sierra Gomez.
Officers were then elected: President Sierra Gomez, Vice President Madison Kindler, Secretary Hayden Garcia, Treasurer Spencer Gates and Reporter Eva Scritchfield.
The club discussed demonstrations and how they work, and Hayden Garcia gave an example of how to show a rabbit. She brought four different breeds and shared information about each breed and how to show each one.
