MEEKER I In 2013, the Rio Blanco County commissioners launched the Justice Center Project with the objective of improving facilities that serve our citizens, county and district law enforcement, and improve efficiency of county services based in Meeker.
Public meetings are set for 6 p.m. on March 11 at the Weiss Conference Room on the Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely and at 6 p.m. on March 12 at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center at 200 Main in Meeker.
These meetings will collect public input on the justice center project as well as how it may affect the possible closure of Fifth Street in Meeker and the use of the old Meeker Elementary School.
