Kids’ Fishing Day in Meeker

Several area children took advantage of Meeker Kids’ Fishing Day on Saturday at Circle Park. Sponsored by the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife and the Meeker Lions Club, roughly a hundred kids, older siblings and parents took part in the event, which featured the young kids learning to fish and the Lions serving free lunch to the group.

A bit too young to start casting a fishing rod, Myles and Parker Dupire, the sons of Matt and Nicole Dupire of Meeker, still enjoyed the sights during the Meeker Kids’ Fishing Day at Circle Park in Meeker.
