Kindler, Atwood coach CHSCA all-star games

MEEKER I Klark Kindler and Christy Atwood coached at the Colorado High School Coaches Association All-Star Games last weekend in Greeley.
The teams were a mix of senior players from all divisions across the state, and both Meeker coaches won their respective sports.
Kindler coached the Black team with Centari Coach Larry Jo Hunt. Meeker’s Brian Crowe played on the Black team, and they defeated the White team 96-90.
Atwood coached the Black team with Kevin Cary, coach from Mountain Vista 5A school in Highlands Ranch. Meeker’s Janae Kindall played on the team. The Black defeated the Blue team 3-1 in the championship match.
Meeker’s Marki Cook also played in the all-star games. She played on the Blue team that was coached by former Meeker resident and now Gunnison Coach Kevin Mickelson and Blake Canty from Sanford.
The Blue team lost in the championship game to the Black team 99-63.
