RBC | Rangely traveled to Hotchkiss last Tuesday. Varsity won in three straight sets, 25-21, 25-19 and 26-24. Katelyn Brown led the team with 12 earned points behind the services line, with KK Fortunato contributed with nine, while Halie Elam led the team in aces with three. Katelyn Brown led with nine kills with Sarah Connor adding eight kills. Marlena Miller had a great night at the net, leading the team in blocks.
Rangely then traveled to Hayden for another league matchup. They defeated Hayden in 3, 25-17, 25-23 and 25-21. Katelyn Brown led the team in earned points with 12, with Skylar Thacker adding nine points. Katelyn Brown also led the team in kills having 13 on the night. Skylar Thacker and Halie Elam had a great defensive night, both having 16 digs on the night.
Last and final road trip of the week was to Cedaredge. Rangely beat Cedaredge in three sets; 25-22, 26-24, and 25-18. Katelyn Brown had 17 earned points behind the service line, while KK Fortunato added 11 earned points. Sarah Connor led the team in kills with nine, with Katelyn Brown adding five kills and Klaire Denny with four kills. Rangely had a great defensive game as Marlena Miller led the team with eight solo blocks, Sarah Connor had seven solo blocks and Skylar Thacker had 21 digs. Kassidee Brown did a great job of moving the ball around to all of her hitters in all three matches.
Rangely improved their record to 13-2 overall and 8-0 in league play. Rangely will have another road trip to West Grand Friday and play Paonia at home on Saturday.
