Letter: Crab Crack a huge success

The 2011 Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce Crab Crack was a huge success! This is because of the following volunteers and organizations as well as all of the people who purchased tickets and attended this very fun and worthwhile event.
Congratulations to Giovanni’s Italian Grill for Business of the Year award.
A big thank you to the following people and organizations are in order:
Peggy Rector, Jeff Rector, Rebecca Rector, Brian Rector, Annie Rector, Annette Austin, Jane Miller, Heath GeBauer, Ranae Hardin, Shauna Rheau, Sodexo Services-James Stinson and all of the cooking staff, CNCC Aero Club for serving the Crab, CNCC Men’s Baseball for setup of all the tables and chairs, Fire District and the Elks BPOE 1907 for the extra tables needed, Joe Sears for entertainment, and Bill Hume for transporting the crab from Grand Junction and storing it at Nichols Store until the event.
Also needing to be recognized for their donation of the beautiful gift baskets for the raffle at the Crab Crack are: Silver Sage RV Park, Quality Carpet & Furnishings, Oxymagic Carpet and Tile Cleaning, Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District and Giovanni’s Italian Grill.
Without the continued support of all volunteers, organizations and the community this event would not be possible!
Thank you again for a job well done and for making this community function a positive event-so please thank these folks and businesses for their effort in making Rangely a great place to live and work.
