Letter: Fire chief thankful for support of district

On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Rangely Rural Fire Protection District and the citizens of Rangely. It has been with great pleasure to have served and protected such a great city. The pride, support and trust, which the Rangely Fire Department and I have received in the past 12 years as acting fire chief has meant a lot, not only to me, but to my family. I would like to also thank those dedicated personnel on the fire department for their time they spend away from families to protect and help the citizens of Rangely in the time of need. It is professionalism we must ensure when our customers don’t have a choice. As of Jan. 1, 2010, I will no longer be serving as the chief of the Rangely Rural Fire Protection District.
