Dear Editor:
I am writing a letter of endorsement in support of Emma Vaughn for Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder. I have known Emma most of her life. My family used to run cattle on Piceance with her family. I have fond memories of her scrambling onto her horse to help move cows when she was a little girl. Now, Emma has returned to our county with her two little girls along with a fierce dedication to helping it continue to be a great place to live and raise a family. I have seen Emma show tremendous tenacity in the face of adversity. She is the type of person that will stand her ground but will do it with a great deal of kindness. She is very dependable and hard working and will respect the traditions of our county while making sure the Clerk and Recorder’s office is compatible and up to date. It takes a great deal of courage to put yourself out there and run for a public office. I certainly have a great deal of respect for Emma and her willingness to serve the people of Rio Blanco County. She definitely is a quality candidate, especially because of her willingness to learn about new ideas and opportunities, her work ethic and her friendly personality. I am excited to see what she can provide as Rio Blanco Clerk and Recorder, if given the chance.
