Dear Editor:
Through the years I’ve lived here there have been many I knew who had to move away for various reasons and I sorrowed with them, all the while so thankful it wasn’t me moving away!
And now God has providentially brought that time to me, but I can’t leave without expressing my thanks to the town of Meeker for nearly 25 years of a wonderful small mountain town experience.
My now deceased husband Ron, most morning in prayer thanked the Lord “for this place you’ve given us to live.” We loved knowing and caring for so many of you and I assure you that leaving our home and community is very difficult! Thank you so much for sharing yourselves with (Ron and) me—I will always think of Meeker as home and hope to return to visit. I must give special appreciation to my Pastor and church family at Grace Bible Church, you have given me great joy and strength through so many trials.
