Letter: Is there better option than a roundabout?

How would you like to access your driveway right in the curve of a roundabout or have your children crossing just before or after this roundabout? The town of Meeker Board of Trustees and mayor are proposing to build a roundabout and pedestrian walkways right in front of our homes on Sulphur Creek Road in order to access the new elementary school, recreation center and county buildings. This is just down from where the Ute Road is currently. We have asked them to build it anywhere else but in front of our homes. We are hoping the town officials, county commissioners, school district and the recreation center can come up with a better idea. If you would like to voice your concern, please call one of your town officials before it is too late.
