Dear Editor:
There has been a lot of discussions over past weeks concerning the county commissioner race and largely centered on Proposition 112. I think that there is a clear distinction between the two candidates. It has been brought to my attention that Mr. Kelley is the current vice-president of a very prominent environmental group, the Western Colorado Alliance (https://westerncoloradoalliance.org/who-we-are/#board) that has a track record of opposing oil and gas development as well as other capitalistic endeavors. On the flipside, Mr. Moyer in addition to being a local business owner for the last 35 years, he has spent countless hours as a volunteer advocating for the multiple uses of our public lands for all users. Consider the track records of both candidates as you cast your vote. I believe that Gary Moyer is the best candidate for all of the residents of Rio Blanco County as commissioner.
