Letter: Our national debt continues to grow

If the national debt continues to grow,
Will it become or is it already a national security issue?
If it is or becomes a national security issue,
Will it be paid rapidly to buy peace?
If it is paid rapidly,
Who will pay it?
If the old give their security and their property,
Will that be enough?
If the young give most of their life’s income,
Will that close the gap and buy peace?
If history teaches us that the young pay the bills and fight the wars,
Will the young wake up and use their vote before it’s too late?
If Congress creates the debt,
Will the people fire congress?
If our congressman and senator continue to contribute to the debt,
Will we fire them in November?
If change starts at home,
Will we have the courage to set the example and start here?
