Dear Editor:
After a beautiful sunrise service, the community was invited to dine at the annual “community Easter breakfast” hosted by Living Water Assembly Church.
This year it had a twist. The church has a small congregation, so members from other local churches volunteered to help.
The breakfast took place from 6:45 to 9 a.m. More than 118 people enjoyed a large buffet of sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade green chili, pancakes, biscuits and fruit and berries served with granola and yogurt on top. There was juice, coffee, tea and cocoa, homemade cakes in the shape of crosses, and carrot, zucchini, lemon, banana nut and gluten-free breads.
Everyone left with full tummies and great communion together in celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
We want to thank those who made this event an actual “community event” from volunteering, donating and attending.
Donations were made by Nichols, Sodexo, White River Market and the recreation district. Volunteers who represented their churches included First Baptist Church, Grace Baptist Church, New Creation Church, Rangely Christian Church, St. Ignatius Catholic Church, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church and our own members of Living Water Assembly Church.
