I would like to say how much I enjoyed the games at the district basketball tournament. However, I was very disappointed in the sportsmanship of the Meeker boys’ team and coach when they wouldn’t stay in the gym to accept the second-place trophy. It seems to me that the sportsmanship of a team reflects on the coach, school and community. Maybe if the school had a better dress code for traveling to out-of-town games it might make a difference in how the teams conduct themselves. We should teach our athletes to respect and uphold the values of good sportsmanship, so we can all be proud of them and what they accomplish.
I would also like to say how much I have enjoyed the pictures and high school sports coverage that is in the Herald Times. You do a great job of covering the sports of both the Meeker and Rangely schools.
