The Epsilon Chi Chapter of ESA held the drawing for its annual fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., during the music concert at Rangely Junior/Senior High School on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Gretchen Conner is the winner of a raft trip for two through Split Mountain in Dinosaur National Monument, courtesy of Adrift Adventures. Beckey Hume won the overnight getaway in Grand Junction. Holiday Inn Express and Olive Garden were the donors. The annual $100 money shirt provided by Epsilon Chi went to Lynn Rusher. St. Jude’s will receive $436 from this endeavor. Congratulations to all of the winners.
This year, a separate 50-50 drawing was held with the sorority’s portion going for its community projects such as W.A.R.M., Food Bank, Giving Tree, a scholarship to a graduating senior and other projects that may come up. Bill Mitchem was the lucky recipient of 50 percent. The sorority received $171 from the drawing and was given a $50 gift, so the total came to $221.
Thank you to all who supported our drawings. We are well pleased with the total donations, considering the general economy this year.
