Letter: Thanks to United Way

My name is Pat Thompson and I am writing on behalf of Rio Blanco County Horizons. We all wish to thank the United Way for its generous donation of $1,000 for necessary equipment for our Early Intervention Program.
The Early Education Program services children from birth to the third birthday who have delays in development. Our therapists visit the child at home and show parents how to work with their child to increase the child’s development.
During the visits the therapists use toys and developmental items (i.e. balls, large foam blocks) to work with the child. We often lend items for the family to continue to work with the child during the time that the therapist is not there.
We are so appreciative for their assistance.
