Dear Editor:
In the height of this crazy political season, it’s good to remember that clean, reliable water is one of those rare apolitical issues.
We all need clean, abundant water for our livelihoods, local economies and ways of life.
As a rancher, I’m well aware of the importance of taking care of such limited, vital resources.
Appropriately enough, when the Clean Water Act was created, 42 years ago, to protect America’s threatened water supplies, it was approved by congressional Republicans and Democrats alike.
With the 42nd anniversary of the Clean Water Act having been on Oct. 18, I hope Americans take a few moments to celebrate both the gift of clean water and how it comes to us.
