Dear Editor:
This is an open letter to all Colorado Northwestern Community College athletic fans.
I wanted to take just a minute and say what an awesome season the CNCC volleyball team has had! Their humility will keep them from bragging, but I will happily do it for them.
The new coaches, Chris Vergnaud and Ashley Bryant, jumped into this season with a team of athletes they were handed and ran with them.
Several team and school records were not just broken but smashed this year.
Some of the highlights were an all-time high fifth-place year-end finish in the SWAC, a Second-Team All-Conference player selection, the best-ever overall season win/loss record, and coach Chris Vergnaud being named the SWAC Volleyball Coach of the Year!
If you see any of the hard-working volleyball players or either coach Vergnaud or coach Bryant around, give them congrats and kudos for an awesome season.
I am sure it was just a small step in the course of what is to come.
