Dear Editor:
On behalf of Natural Soda Inc., our employees and customers, we would like to thank the many community organizations that applied for Natural Soda’s 2011 Community Support Program. Our goal was to support organizations that touched the social, health and economic wellbeing of our community.
We received applications from several worthwhile organizations across northwestern Colorado. Unfortunately, we were not able to fund all of the grant requests that we received. However, through the review process, we learned quite a bit about the opportunities, challenges and needs throughout our community.
We are pleased to announce that Natural Soda has awarded several Community Support Grants, and we would like to acknowledge the recipients. Grant recipients included the Rangely Food Bank and the Project 1.27 Outreach Ministry to Orphans to support their assistance to some of neediest members of our community. A grant was awarded to the Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue District, through a request from Dr. Albert Krueger of Pioneers Medical Center, to assist with the acquisition of a new ambulance for the Piceance Creek area. Additional grants were awarded to the Meeker Chamber to support its annual Fourth of July celebrations and the Rifle Chamber to support its annual scholarship program.
Once again, thank you to all grant applicants. We appreciate and honor your commitment to the community. We look forward to working with these and other organizations as our company continues to grow with the community.
