This is an open letter to the County Commissioners,
I attended the presentation in Meeker last Wednesday on the proposed new justice center on the assumption you wished input from the public. I intended to speak, opposing putting it on Fifth Street, but by the time the presentation was over, it was clear to me that you were not asking for input, only agreement. Your decision had already been made.
Gentlemen, (and I use the term grudgingly) be aware that the public will be heard from. It may not be in time to save the school, but we will be heard loud and clear at the next election! I challenge you to put this matter to a vote before you destroy something you can never rebuild.
Letter to the Editor: County looking for agreement, not input
