Letter to the Editor: Neilson glad to serve, will seek re-election

Dear Editor:
This is an open letter to the residents of Rio Blanco County:
It has been an honor to serve as your Rio Blanco County Assessor this past term. It is with pleasure that I announce my candidacy for re-election.
I believe knowledge of the area, the resources and the ever-changing state legal structure will be critical in the coming term. The assessor’s office is audited each year by the State of Colorado and we have always passed the audit. The office staff and budget have been maintained with little change throughout the booms and busts our county experiences.
I enjoy serving the citizens of Rio Blanco County and I am committed to all residents and taxpayers of the county.
If re-elected, I will continue to operate my office in a friendly, professional manner and value property according to Colorado law.
