Dear Editor:
Pioneers Healthcare Foundation would like to thank the many people and organizations that made the 2014 Festival of Lights and Parade of Homes a fun success. We couldn’t do it without a great team.
Thank you to White River Electric Association for hanging the lights and Rio Blanco County for sharing their trees.
The trees are beautiful and Pioneers Healthcare Foundation is proud to be part of this Meeker Christmas tradition.
The Parade of Lights was great fun. It wouldn’t be a parade without the floats. Thank you Meeker Chamber of Commerce for organizing; and thank you to the businesses and organizations that submitted floats.
Matt Holliday did a fantastic job as the emcee, and Mason Holliday and Brynlee Williams did a beautiful job singing the national anthem.
Meeker Volunteer Fire & Rescue gave us a great fireworks display. Thank you for the fireworks in December. Also, we would like to give FCI Construction a special thank you for allowing the fireworks team to use their construction site.
Horizon’s Specialized Services sponsored a great Parade of Homes; so many beautifully decorated homes took part in the event. Thank you to Meeker ERBM Recreation Center and Wendll’s for hosting the wreath display.
We ended the Wreath Silent Auction on Sunday evening after the Horizon’s Event. Thank you to all of the wreath artists and the generous bidders. Proceeds from the wreath sales benefit Meals on Wheels, Horizons and the Meeker Chamber.
We appreciate everyone and all our businesses for participating in the activities.
