Dear Editor:I just wanted to write a letter of thanks and appreciation to the people of Rangely, the Daniel Lapp family, Jed and the grounds crew for the hard work and efforts that went into the arena grounds on May 14, 2011, for the NBHACO-10 double header barrel races. The arena ground was really good ground for all the barrel racers, the whole Columbine Park area was clean and neat, the race track was worked up for a warm-up area and the stalls were all clean and ready for use. We were welcomed to Rangely with open arms and we had a wonderful time while we were there! The folks at Kum ‘n’ Go and the Italian restaurant were very congenial and nice, too. Thank you for a really good time! I knew Ben and Erma Steele and I know that they would have been proud of the way the arena and grounds were. We look forward to coming back to Rangely in the future!
