WREA will host its 73rd annual meeting on Sept. 12, which includes director elections. Members will vote
for one Town of Meeker district director and one rural district director. Dan Conrado and Mark Rogers are candidates for the Town of Meeker district position, and Scott Kracht and Ron Hilkey are candidates for the rural district position.
An election advertisement in last week’s paper, which was paid for by the candidates, may have been misperceived to be a WREA endorsement of specific candidates. WREA does not endorse specific candidates for election. All four candidates have met the required qualifications set forth by the WREA bylaws. WREA is pleased to have members interested in becoming WREA directors and upholding its long-standing tradition of strong board leadership.
WREA is looking forward to another great annual meeting and hopes to see you all there. A member appreciation lunch will be provided by the Meeker Lions Club, as well as entertainment by the Meeker High School Choir and lots of great registration gifts. Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items for the Meeker Food Bank and be entered to win a cash prize.
