My last letter closed speaking of the encouragement the town crew is giving us to spiff up our own property. Today I heard that notes are being left on front doors concerning the trash that escapes from our trash cans occasionally. It’s signed by the code enforcement folks. If you haven’t had a chance to notice, the code enforcement people have been busy for a few months. It shows the concern “from above” that there’s a move afoot to change the impression that we might be a dirty little town. For those who know me or my house at 204 Morrison, you know I’ve never thought about applying for the centerfold of “Better Homes and Gardens!” I can share that I’ve received the attention of code enforcement. We may not always agree with how the Town of Rangely performs its work, but know that they do have our best interest in mind. I encourage you to be proactive in doing your own part! I also encourage you to learn how the Rangely codes apply to you. You can find them at the town Web site at www.rangely.com. Now if the spring weather would come back, we could all get out there and brighten our little corner of our village.

Dear Editor,
The young moms of Rangely have been so thankful that the Western Rio Blanco Recreation Center has been providing child care for three mornings a week. Francisca Ruiz, Camilla Connor, Deb Jorgenson and Peggy Massey have kept the little ones entertained so we could have that one cherished hour of working out with no interruptions. Many, many thanks!
